Job Description

Position Title: Voting Technician - Onsite Supervisor
Position Status: Contract to hire
Travel Required: 12-20 weeks per year

What You'll Do:
Installation & Configuration
Install and configure voting consoles, system control units, and Daktronics LED displays.
Interpret and execute technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Coordinate with electricians, general contractors, and internal project teams to ensure installation readiness
and alignment.

Project Oversight
Serve as onsite supervisor to oversee installations, uphold quality and safety standards, and lead technician crews.
Ensure timelines and specifications are met through direct, on-site decision-making and coordination.
Document all project details, configurations, and installation records.

Support & Maintenance
Provide technical support remotely and on-site, responding to customer issues and performing
troubleshooting.
Handle both scheduled and emergency maintenance for deployed systems.
Keep detailed service logs and records of support activities.

Client Engagement
Professionally interface with government staff, IT teams, and elected officials.
Contribute to project scoping, field time estimation, and billing accuracy.
Maintain detailed reports and documentation for all client interactions and updates.

Required Qualifications
  • Willing and able to travel 12-20 weeks per year, including occasional short-notice trips.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to rent a vehicle.
  • Clean criminal background and driving record.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Comfortable working with power tools, lifts, ladders, and reading schematics.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to dynamic field environments.
  • Strong time management, documentation, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with low-voltage electrical systems and basic circuitry.
  • Background in audio-visual system integration or structured cabling.
  • Previous leadership experience on installation or construction teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Network+, AVIXA CTS).
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or project management field.
