Job Description
Morton is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a dynamic IT Delivery team focused on building modern, scalable business solutions. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across teams, and working with modern technologies in an Agile environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack development experience, a growth mindset, and a passion for learning emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications and interfaces
- Collaborate with Agile teams, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
- Contribute to full-stack application development using modern frameworks and technologies
- Support application availability, resiliency, and scalability initiatives
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement efforts
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices
- Work with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and containerized environments
- Occasionally travel based on business needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
- JavaScript
- Java
- Angular
- TypeScript
- HTML/CSS
- .NET
- Python
- APIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern frameworks such as:
- Spring Boot
- Angular
- React
- Node.js
- Bootstrap
- Experience developing REST APIs and related technologies:
- Kafka
- KSQL
- Kong
- Swagger/OpenAPI
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases:
- SQL Server
- MongoDB
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as:
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
