Senior Financial Systems Analyst (8823)
Job Description
Morton is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to support and administer enterprise accounting and financial applications in a complex professional-services environment. This role serves as the primary technical resource for the organization’s financial systems ecosystem, including billing, time entry, conflicts, collections, matter lifecycle, and reporting platforms.
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will also lead system upgrades and enhancements, develop custom reports and workflows, manage integrations, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT leadership.

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will also lead system upgrades and enhancements, develop custom reports and workflows, manage integrations, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT leadership.
Key Responsibilities Financial Systems Administration & Support
- Provide primary administration and support for the Elite 3E billing system
- Schedule and manage month-end maintenance activities
- Coordinate system upgrades for 3E, time tracking platforms, and related applications
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for Elite and time tracking systems
- Support integrated platforms such as:
- Chrome River
- ARCS
- Intapp Risk
- Intapp Time
- Electronic records lifecycle systems
- Custom budgeting tools
- Monitor and maintain integrations and data flow between financial systems
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Elite 3E
- Develop ad hoc SQL queries and custom reports
- Perform data extraction and workflow automation
- Support financial data visualization through Power BI dashboards
- Maintain documentation for financial system processes and procedures
- Conduct revenue-system analysis to support billing operations
- Develop scripts and automation using:
- T-SQL
- PowerShell
- Python (preferred)
- Lead planning and execution of financial system upgrades and enhancements
- Coordinate testing during releases, patches, and maintenance cycles
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, and IT leadership to prioritize initiatives
- Support deployment of new integrations and accounting technologies
- Drive process improvement through automation and standardization
- Provide production support for mission-critical financial platforms
- Perform root cause analysis on incidents
- Document issues and resolutions in ticketing systems
- Support monthly maintenance activities (after-hours as needed)
- Act as a senior technical resource for financial systems analysts
- Coordinate project tasks across team members
- Mentor junior staff and promote best practices
- Support cross-functional collaboration across departments
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years supporting financial systems in a legal or corporate IT environment
- 3+ years administering Elite 3E (or comparable enterprise accounting platform)
- Strong hands-on experience supporting production billing systems
- Experience planning and executing:
- upgrades
- patches

- Strong understanding of:

- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications
Technical Skills
Required:
- Microsoft SQL Server (2022 or newer preferred)
- Strong T-SQL scripting experience
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Relational database design concepts
- Microsoft Office 365 (advanced/power-user level)
Preferred:
- ETL processes
- XML
- Power BI (dashboard development + data modeling + DAX)
- Python (pandas, openpyxl, pyodbc)
- PowerShell automation and integrations
