Job Description
Morton is seeking a Delivery & Portfolio Manager to lead delivery across a portfolio of high-priority IT initiatives. This role oversees Project Managers and Scrum Masters, ensuring the most urgent and business-critical work is prioritized, unblocked, and delivered efficiently.
This is a delivery leadership role, not a hands-on technical position. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and coach who can operate comfortably between executives and delivery teams while driving accountability and results.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee delivery across multiple concurrent IT initiatives
- Coach, mentor, and support Scrum Masters and project teams
- Ensure projects are prioritized, aligned, and progressing against business goals
- Identify and remove delivery blockers; manage cross-team dependencies
- Provide portfolio-level visibility into status, risks, and timelines
- Report KPIs, SLAs, and delivery metrics to senior leadership
- Act as a bridge between executives and engineering teams
- Reinforce Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean delivery practices
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency and predictability
Qualifications:
- Experience overseeing multiple projects or a delivery portfolio
- Strong Agile delivery background (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
- Proven ability to coach Scrum Masters and delivery teams
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with senior leadership
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- JIRA experience required
