Position Title: ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) Technician
Location: Petersburg, VA 23803
Shift Schedule: Schedule: M-F (7a-5p) – 50hr weeks (10hr OT)

Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls, troubleshooting electronic components, performing preventative maintenance and responsive maintenance on ITS equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer service.
- Works independently to complete assigned tasks within defined response times.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic devices to board level.
- Use a multimeter and other electronic measuring devices.
- Mark utilities, perform general preventative maintenance tasks.
- Read schematics and as built drawings.
- Operate a company vehicle safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience with low voltage electrical work, including troubleshooting.
- Experience working with cameras.
- Experience working with ITS equipment a plus.
- Experience troubleshooting fiber optics a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crawl.
- Must be able to drive for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to see color.
- Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold.
- Must be able to work Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM; additional work may be required, including some night shift hours.
- Must possess and maintain a satisfactory background record.
- Must be willing to travel out of town as needed.
